1 how much pottery will you have to sell to put a worthy piece of glss on it, much less buy ammo?
2 Where the hell are you going to shoot it unless you go off shore and shoot at floating bleach bottles?
FQ13 who hates to be a buzz kill, but thinks you'd be happier (and richer) with that Sharps you were eyeing. Just my .02.
I have had a fading antique pottery fetish for the last three years. In the 10-12 years prior to that, I have what amounts to an antique store. Rookwood, Van Briggle, Hampshire, Roseville, Marblehead, McCoy, Fulper, Weller, Hull, geez,....It's very sad, I have too much of this crap. All American, and from the 1840's to about 1955.
There is a group that collects this stuff like old Colt SAA pistols, Browning Hi-Powers, vintage shotguns, etc,...
I will have to find a range far away from where I am, as it would be like having a Formula 1 race car for a trip around the driveway,.

Ammo, would be reasonable as I won't need 5000rds of it. (At least not now). Having 500 rds. of .338 would be plenty for me.
Even if the SHTF, sending 50 of these downrange would get anyone's attention. (Plus their vehicles would be stopped far away), thus making them walk...

Just time for a shift in "materialistic things", I'll keep my Frank Rothenbush Rookwood from 1881, with Vellum Glaze, I paid $350 in 2002, and turned down almost $750 in 2008. My Louis Abel Rookwood, is about $450... I can get there quick...
Better than a mid life crises, and wanting a red convertible....
