I got a real surprise when Big Brown pulled up this week.

I had ordered 5 more Mosins and an ATI stock from J&G  I couldn't believe it when the driver passed me one carton of 5 rifles and I said was that it and he said "no, you have another carton just like that one on here."

By mistake they sent me 10 rifles.  I'm thinking hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I guess I just got an early birthday present from J&G as technically, legally they were mine if sent to me and I didn't order them.

Anyway to make a long story short, they were supposed to go to someone else and my shipping labels printed out on both boxes.

They wanted me to ship them back, but I said to just bill me for them and I'd keep them if they wanted to eat the shipping. They were happy with my offer and it worked for me.  I wouldn't have felt right just keeping them.

Mosin 91/30 anyone?

Hex receivers?  with the bayonet, oiler and sling? How much? (I have a C&R myself)
All tipoes and misspelings are copi-righted.  Pleeze do not reuse without ritten persimmons  :D

Since nobody wants my spam can of 440rds. of milsurp ammo from J&G, at those prices from classic arms, I just might get one myself,

with the "Pig Sticker" and kit.... ::)

If you're right handed, I can't think of a single reason not to. You'd have a solid, yet disposable rifle with a thousand rounds of ammo for around $250. Hard to say no.

Hell the rifles are $79.95 and up, and I already have 440rds of ammo....

So why are you posting here, not talking to Century? I talked to the owner when I was an hour away from hitting the closing date on a sale for AKs and ARs at two different dealers. He assured me that if I paid the (I think it was an extra $10) hand select fee, that they would not only go over 10 AKs an send me the pick of the litter, but if there was a problem with sight cant etc., all I had to do was send it back and they'd send me a new rifle, and do so till I was happy. All I had to do was pay shipping one way. Doesn't get much better IMHO. Buy the damn gun. Its $100 to you hand select plus shipping and transfer (though they do qualify for C@R) but you're still ahead and its a cool gun. If I were RH I'd probably go Dave's route and figure that 5 Moisin's were better than one AK for the $389 price tag, assuming you had to bury a couple along with some sealed ammo for SHTF situations. ;D

I cleaned out one of my safes today.......................

These are some of my Mosins. Can you ever have too many?

I think you have too many.... unless you are trying to arm a militia.

*Notice he said "one" of his safes ;)

Does anyone know it would be legal for for a group, say in Ohio, to make a volume...5 or 10 or so.. purchase for the various folks interested?

I guess everyone would have to make a trip to the receiving FFL for the transfer since the plan is for them to go to others.
