I bought "Enemy at the Gates" because of that posting when I saw it about 2 years ago. And oddly after a long day at the range I'm not really wanting to watch "Blackhawk Down" as much as I want to watch "S.W.A.T." (the movie with Samuel L. Jackson) or "We Were Soldiers"

Funny as all this is, it does raise a serious question. Assuming (however unlikley and absurd it may be), a Red Dawn scenario. What would you carry? Me, I like my AR, but its best inside of 200 yards. Beyond that, its a a choice of who God loves best, me or my target. I also think that going toe to toe with folks who kick in doors and clear houses for a living is a suckers bet.With my bolt action Ruger M-77 in .270, I can put 5 rounds inside of 4" at 200 yards, and will at least get your undivided attention at 500 yards. Given tht I wil lose and lose hard at CQB with a trained uniit, I think that being able to take a shot at a block away and then blend into the crowd, gives a very big plus to a reliable bolt action gun for SHTF situations, because "shoot and scoot" seems th only tactic with a snowbll's chance of working. Just my .02
