I have ended my pellet gun search. I blame what I have done entirely on you people! Enablers, the lot of you, with no sympathy for a man's disease! I'm talking to you CJ, and all of you on the airsoft thread. >:( >:( >:( ;D
I have ordered two new toys. I got an el cheapo $20 battery powered semi-auto airsoft that looks vaguely M@Pish. Its low powered, 140 fps, so it should be good for in the house practice. We will see. If it sucks, no biggie.
On the toad and iguana front, I just couldn't help myself. It was wrong. It was ill advised, but how could I say no? Damn you CJ! ;D
I ordered a remanufactured Umarex STEEL STORM (it has to be in all caps, or the silliness factor doesn't come through ;D). Anyway, I will now have a full auto BB machine gun that shoots 6 round bursts at 600rpms at 430fps. It may or may not be enough gun for the big lizards, but damn it will be fun! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 who will post a range report for both upon delivery.

Excellent! Did I just waste my money or is it as cool as it seems? I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I cannot wait for the Big Brown Truck of Happiness! ;D Its silly, but I haven't looked forward to getting a new gun this much in a while. I guess its the pure silliness factor. ;D
FQ13 who will have to buy a teal Tee shirt and a white jacket. Maybe a Bren 10 just in case of a charge by a wounded iguana. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I bought one of the Drozd, Russian guns about 4 years ago, it works, I can't remember it ever malfunctioning, and as soon as let someone shoot it, it just " where did you get it? and where can I get one " now for the warning, these things are accurate enough, you need to be cool about your bb trap, for years I have used old towels, doubled over hung on wooden rods in a card board box, with usually 3 rods, that is the thickness of at least 6 towels, never been a problem, until you shoot full auto, with something, that at bb gun distance, keeps penetrating the same spot, I have made it  rip through all the towels and out the back of the box. If you own a Drozd, there are some guys out there selling replacement circuit boards, that up it to 1200 rpm.

I have it in storage, but need to get it out and take pictures, I have a BB gun trap that is furniture, made in Georgia in the 50's and is mediterranian in design cabinet, open the doors and inside is a tiger striped spongy cloth, with a black aiming circle, front lighted and as you shoot the target, it drops the BB's into the lower drawer to reuse. It is a real piece of history, custom made for some well to do in the past, how I'm come up with this weird stuff. But if you walked in, you would never believe what it is, it even has a suction fan, that I can only guess is to make the cloth move.
