Wait until the holiday travel rush, (both Thanksgiving and Christmas). This is going to result in an all out riot. I put this into the exact same category as Bristol Palin kicking unheard of ass on Dancing With The Stars.

The producers of that show set her up to take a fall, and be made a fool of much like they did with Tom Delay. Much like the government along with the TSA thought they though they were going to ram this up the American travelers ass. Now it's all turning around to bite them right square in the ass! The producers of Dancing With The Stars underestimated the power of the American public who support Bristol, along with the entire Palin family, just like the TSA under estimated the opposition they would be swamped with on this whole deal. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE! It will bite you in the ass every single time! If you doubt me, watch Dancing With The Stars next Monday. Bristol will win even if the producers of that fiasco chop off her feet at this point!

 The American traveler will $h!t on the TSA for screwing them around the exact same way the American people will $h!t on the producers of Dancing With The Stars for trying to set up a good and decent, innocent girl to take a fall for their liberal Hollywood political "cause".  Bill T.

As much as I hate what TSA is doing I want to remind everyone that flying is an optional activity.  If we decide to travel we have many other options.  Beyond the cost of putting all these gropers in place and the cost of the scanning equipment, I dread the day we are forced to give more tax money to the airlines because of the revenue they are losing.  But, they will be losing some of my travel dollars.

To those that go looking for a fight, or those thinking they are going to slow things down you need a reality check as well.  This kid in Billt's video link went looking for a fight, and I believe he was out of line.  Simple rules of getting through TSA is that it is the passenger's responsibility to allow enough time to make the flight not the flights responsibility to wait for you, and if you fight the system you will be turned back or even arrested.

If these workers and their process is meant to protect us, and if it is going to protect us, everyone of these people that protest by fouling the system are actually making it easier for the "threat" to get through.  Also, we need to remember that these workers are just doing their job and are not the policy setters.  What are we going to accomplish by making their life miserable?

My protest option is to avoid the airline system whenever possible.  If I can't avoid it, I plan to educate myself and cooperate and just get through it.  I have described earlier how I handle taking guns on the plane, and this new system should be no different.

Going on FQ's example for his mother, I talked with the friends we went to Florida with last winter.  We used a Tahoe to pull a trailer with bikes.  Two hotels on the way down and one on the way back, and the meals involved.  It took us longer - we lost three days to travel, but we enjoyed that time as well.  When looking at airline tickets for four people, parking near the airport, rental car in Florida, and not having everything along that we take with large vehicle and trailer, it cost us less to drive it.  A person just needs to get in the mindset that this is what we are going to do, and go with it.

You could say the exact same thing about the Hussein administration and Pelosi. This whole "go along to get along" attitude is foolish and stupid when the whole concept is totally flawed and backward to begin with. The TSA, our government, and the idiot's who choose to work for it, ARE WRONG, PERIOD! Going along with them isn't going to make anyone "safer". It's like gun control. The entire concept is flawed from the get go because they don't understand the problem. Good intentions won't buy you $h!t against radical islam, or anyone else who wants to kill you. You need a good system, and people to administrate it. We have neither one at this point. And a President who doesn't have a clue how to obtain it because he is trying to be too politically correct. What's next, Joy Behar in charge of airport security?   Bill T.

You missed my point Bill!

#1.  Flying is an optional activity that we chose to participate in;
#2.  If you are going to fly educate yourself, and hold both yourself and others to the standards;
#3.  Work through the system to correct it - TSA check points are not the place to flex your muscles if they are following the rules;
#4.  And back to #1, this is not a Right as compared to arms, speech, religion, and not even search because when you buy your ticket you give your consent to a search of yourself and your bags.

My other gripe is that this kid with his political rant does as much to ruin my experience as the TSA rules, and more than the TSA agents.  I don't see this as a Rosa Parks thing.  This is an industry related situation as opposed to a societal or cultural mindset.  She faced her situation with every activity outside her home, while this only affects us in one place.  We can shut this down through the proper channels, and it will be easier to fix in the halls of D.C. than at the scanning booth at airport central.

If you are going to fight the system, don't purchase a ticket that gives them your permission to do this.  Work with the system, and if you can't fix it do one of two things - If it is a Constitutionally protected Right shed blood, or if it is something like flying boycott the system and let the market speak.  If the airlines and hotels around the airports lose half their revenue while we are working with our elected officials it will do far more than telling some one "don't touch my junk."

I, unfortunately have to commute to work every 3 months-ish and must fly to do it. I fly from South America to Florida, then to wherever the ship may be. and flying out of Tampax Florida I have to do the 'X-ray'. I prefer the grope. how much radiation can a body take? does it accumulate to cause damage down the road? hell no. doctors wear lead aprins and stand behind walls to give you an x-ray in the hospital. so how is this so much safer? no thank you, I will take the damn groping, AND voice my opinion so all can hear it. (happened twice now). screw the damn TSA and the retards they hire to 'ensure my safety'.

AAAAHHHHH!!!!

deepwater

Don't worry about the x-ray radiation, it's not as harmful as Madam Curie once suspected.

X-Ray, IIRC is a long sine wave radiation as apposed to gamma radiation which is deep penetrating and high acute doses are harmful to cell structures.  I've literally had hundreds of x-rays over my life time and probably three hundred over the last four years.  There is nothing to worry about there.  I've also taken large doses of gamma radiation while working in the industry with no ill effects.  Everyone is different but we've been using x-ray as a society for decades with no absolute proof of damage to human cells.

Now, avoid anything that tastes good or Jamaican beer....I hear that Red Stripe causes loss of hair!

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/live-feed/report-man-shoots-tv-palin-46616

"Like most Americans, Steven Cowan has been perplexed by Bristol Palin’s curious ability to keep advancing in TV’s "Dancing with the Stars" competition.

However, unlike other viewers, Cowan, 66, allegedly became so enraged by Palin’s success that he actually fired a shotgun round into his television, triggering a 15-hour standoff with Wisconsin cops."

And you wonder what will happen when a bunch of idiot's try to keep MILLIONS of people from going home on Thanksgiving? Look out world!  Bill T.

#1.  Flying is an optional activity that we chose to participate in.

Not for people who have to travel across the country and back in one weekend. It is their only option.

If the airlines and hotels around the airports lose half their revenue while we are working with our elected officials it will do far more than telling some one "don't touch my junk."

Tell that to your wife who has just had her crotch and breasts massaged 4 TIMES by a 250 pound government worker with the I.Q. of room temperature. The whole thing is totally insane.   Bill T.
