What is Your States Minimum Age For Nonresident Concealed Carry Permit

My sons are coming of age and are interested in obtaining concealed carry permits.  Unfortunately our home state of Missouri only allows permit carry at 23.  (Its not hopeless as we can open carry most places and there is no restriction on concealed carry at home,   in vehicles, and at your place of business.)   So to the point; where , if anywhere can you get a nonresident concealed carry permit at 21? 20? 19? 18?

Unfortunately, Iowa is out for you.  Our state doesn't offer non-resident non-professional carry permits. 



The GOOD news is, once you have ANY state's valid carry permit, Iowa will honor it while you are within out borders.

Its 21 here in Fl., I thought that was the norm everywhere. A good reminder to check before you travel. Maybe that iphone app isn't as silly as I thought.

Seriously, old fart bitching aside, I just want a phone. Others may want or need more. Fair enough. But I do wish that the companies would offer a basic model. Its not that I'm cheap, its just that I don't want the gizmos like a camera or internet access, or texting, gps or the like and would prefer not to pay for them. I doubt I'm alone. Am I?

I'm with you both! All I need is a phone! I did, however just get an iPod Touch and it uses the iPhone apps I'm told. I've got to look further into the app for the CCW laws.

When your sons get their CCW, check the age for  non-resident in FL and UT.  With those two and what ever states your own state has reciprocity with, you will have a large number of states covered.

Fl. and UT have reciprocity with many states and you get them with their non-res permit.

I have had licenses in several states.  Most will require a CC license in your home state prior to applying for an out of state license.  I checked with CT and it's 21 but only after you have a resident license in Missouri.  My NH permit required that I submit my MA permit as proof...  Maine was the same.
