Min. age here is 186, thats resident or non ;D ;D ;D ;D

Unless you live in Chicago, then it's 192 ::)

But, you can still vote 25 years after you die. ::)

That is very democratic of them! (not sure if dead republicans get the same treatment)

23 as a minimum CCW age is pretty cheesy.  If you can gamble, drink, go to jail or to war you should be able to excercise ALL your rights.
You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles; but at least they drive slowly past schools.

Make that 18. If you're old enough to be drafted or be tried as an adult, you're old enough to buy a drink or a gun. Others may disagree and say it should be 21. I honestly won't argue. I just say pick an age of majority and be consistent with it.

I didn't check but I'm pretty sure Me and NH are both 21 for non resident CCW.

FQ, originally it was 18 for everything but many states decided that it would increase safety to increase drinking ages.
I believe the ages on guns were set by the Clinton / Brady administration.

Minnesota is 21 for both resident and nonresident.

All rules are the same, except if you are a nonresident you can apply at any Sheriff's office, and if you are a resident you must apply at the law enforcement office under who's jurisdiction you reside.

Minnesota also issues both resident and nonresident carry permits to non-citizens with permanent residency.

I find this a little troubling, even if you are a permanent resident, without citizenship, I don't think that our rights as citizens should apply to you. I don't have an issue with people that have duel citizenship, but this seems too close to granting our rights to illegals.
If you want to have our rights, then you should have to have citizenship. Period.

This is for people like my BIL, he has been in the country LEGALLY for 20 years or more, Employed, paying taxes etc. but he retains his English Citizenship. There are advantages to that for him due to visa requirements in various countries.

what's this concealed carry thou speakest of?

Have your musket clean as a whistle, hatchet scoured, 60 rounds powder and ball and be ready to march at a minute's warning.

The last time I checked you had to be 21 to even own a handgun in Michigan, but you can get your CPL at 21 too.

I'm pretty sure that MA allows for resident aliens as well.  I think they have to renew every year though at 100 bucks a pop..
