There is a big difference between "bashing" and criticizing someone for behaving poorly. My point in posting those videos is these guys knew they were on video, and in spite of that they let their authority, and egos, get away from them like a runaway train. Common store clerks restrain themselves with irate customers better than these clowns did. If you want the authority that goes with the gun and badge, use it, don't abuse it. It is just that simple.  Bill T.

I wonder what would the cops do if they knew they weren't on video.

Now THAT is the question of the day!  Bill T.

Yeah, but cops aren't drunk trying to win $10,000.00 for their stupidity. They're losing their jobs over it for nothing!  Bill T.

I get the point of those videos, I just don't get what that point had to do with what we were talking about up til then.

You think she was behaving poorly? She abused her authority?

You tossed in some irrelevant videos of some cop clowns, I mistook it for bashing. If I tossed in some irrelevant videos of cop heroes, it might be mistaken for cop cheerleading. It is just that simple.

I remember back in the late 60's or early 70's they were filming cops in Detroit. They stole just as much when they knew the camera was on them, one incident shown on TV showed 2 cops who had responded to a break in at a convenience store loading cases of smokes into the trunk of the cruiser.

If I recall correctly, the same thing happened in a New Orleans Wal-Mart before or after Katrina, I can't remember which. They showed a couple of black female cops filling their shopping carts while a mob was busy looting the place. Go figure.   Bill T.

We kinda do that around here. You'll get used to it after a while.  Bill T.

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. I don't think she "abused" anything. I think she most likely made a bad call. It could have happened to anyone. From the looks of the remainder of the video it doesn't appear like they found a weapon on him. She for certain should have said nothing to the other cop. Her exclamation of "It looks like he had a gun or something, I dunno." was a very foolish statement to make. Was it a gun, "or something"? She should have known before she capped him. However, with that said, these things happen to cops. Their career could easily end, and they could find themselves being brought up on charges with one wrong decision like that. Do women make these type of errors under heated, possible life threatening situations more than men? I don't know what the actual stats are, but I wouldn't want a female drawing down on me for any reason. Too emotional, but that's just me.  Bill T.
