This story actually made the local paper up here in Orgeon. Listening to the exchange on the video it really makes a normal citizen question how much fueding goes on between departments. Don't get me wrong the idiot deserved what he got but I think the level of professionalism wasn't were it should be-was it really necessary to pull him out at gun point?
Not saying the Trooper isn't going to catch a little heat but think about the situaltion a little bit:
Unknown vehicle going 120, not responding to directions to pull over
Is the driver really a cop or a joy riding pot-head?
Can't raise the other car on the radio.
Once the cars are stopped she couldn't see that he was in uniform until she got much closer, close enough to get blasted by said pot-head. Even then she's now faced with somebody she can reasonably believe IS armed but may not be in their right mind.
I'd have a weapon out too.
Notice the pistol was holstered as soon as the other officer started to comply.
