I was looking at one the other day, it's quite a bit larger than the LCP , it might fit in the pocket of a coat or jacket but not a shirt or pair of pants.
I'll stick with my  Kel Tec for pocket carry, if I have to use a holster any way I might as well stick with my 1911.

Same here.  The "niche" it would be looking to fill is occupied by LCPs, and it doesn't do that job as well.  And I am satisfied with my .40 and .45 carry guns...and don't think it fills that one as well either.

Unless you don't think you will every be using it again and if you have no one for it to be a "hand me down" , don't sell it.  That isn't a weapon you want to be rid of...

True, the 1911 is like an old friend to me even though I've only had this one for a few years.

I've been looking at some of the concealment jackets too, maybe a cross draw holster would help as well.  We'll see what the next few months bring.

I bought 2 when they first came out. I sold one after a couple weeks and gave the other to my dad. One had a decent trigger (for a Ruger auto pistol) and the other was horrible. I sent the bad one back to Ruger and they took care of it better than expected. They also paid shipping both ways and had less than a 2 week turn-around, with shipping. Ruger customer service is why I always give them a shot. Anyway I found it a little big for pocket carry (ok, in cargo or square pockets, sucks in jeans or khakis) being used to the LCP or J-Frame airlite. It's a great gun for the money but wasn't for me. I hate the "shark fin" loaded chamber indicator but the kicker for me was the magazine disconnect safety. You can argue the pluses and minuses all you want but it totally goes against a lifetime of training for me and is a deal breaker in a pistol. I had no idea ruger added it, the manual safety and the loaded chamber indicator to it when I ordered them. I thought they'd just be a blown up version of my LCP. My dad loves the one I gave him, it's his EDC in the smaller crossbreed. I sold the other for a $40 profit.

Thanks for that B92..

I put my 1911 on consignment this evening.  I'll see what I can do when and if it sells in the next few weeks.  I did like the feel of the LC9 and it's fine for me in a front pocket as I usually only carry that way in cargo shorts in the warm months anyway.  I carried an SP101 that way.  I dry fired a few times with snap caps and the trigger wasn't that bad.

For the time being, my daughter lent me her Sig P228 until I make up my mind or find another job.  The Sig feels like a railroad tie next to my 1911 but I'll get used to it.

I'll be posting some 1911 parts on the classified once I take some pictures.

BTW, the magazine disconnect takes about ten minutes to remove from what I've read and seen on video.

I'd never do that on a carry gun though. God forbid you use it in a self defense situation and have to explain in court why you removed a safety device. I read about a trial that Mas Ayoob testified in where the person who acted in self defense with a Browning Hi-Power with the mag-disconnect safety removed was convicted of negligent homicide almost solely on the basis of removing a safety device.

I didn't plan on doing it myself but thanks for the advice.  I'll mention this to my SIL though as he's already removed his from his SR9C.

I had the opportunity two days ago to handle the LC9 at a gunshop that I stumbled across on way to a meeting.  The owner knew little about the gun so I just messed around with it.  He had a $399 retail on it...what have others seen for retail?

I liked the feel of it...nice and thin and though I haven't handled a 1911 in years I liked the way it mimicked the angles of one.

A couple of weeks ago I traded my LCP as I really didn't care for it and knew I'd never use it again.....just to dang small in my hands to be comfortable to shoot.  I felt the similar looking 9 to be much more comfy in my hands.

I dry fired it a few times with the shop owners permission and found the trigger pull much easier than the little LCP.

I too didn't care for the 'shark fin' if that's what it's called....seemed like one more possible snag.  That visual safety along with the thumb safety on the side and the mag disconnect are way too redundant but apparently that's how they like them in Berkley.

I'm still perfectly happy carrying my PPK in a Fobus hip holster.  With colder weather here it's easy to manage to carry with a coat.

I've had one for nearly a year now. They are popular judging by the number of holsters I've sold for them. Personnaly I could do without all of the California gimicks. I can ignore the thumb safety but hate the shark fin loaded chamber indicator. The trigger is not the best but it is useable. Accuracy is as good as it needs to be. It is pocketable in most dress slacks and cargo shorts and some jeans.
On the major plus side it isn't ammo finicky and will run anything ansd do it all the time.

When I bought mine I paid $695 shipped for 2.
