Has to be .357 magnum or above in Indiana. Can't even use 10mm. ??? Was looking myself for a good revolver in .357 to hunt with. As for coyotes, we can use our .223 AR's, but for deer, pistol calibers or shotgun slugs/muzzleloader. Booo.  I do have a buddy that can hunt with his .458 SOCOM.

Are you sure about that ?  10MM is .40 that's bigger than  .357 and IIRC a faster, heavier bullet, 180 gr vs 158 in the 357.

A revolver like the S&W 610 and 10mm would be a great combo for anything in North America!  Plenty of power and the accuracy of a revolver!

I'd still never use anything but a revolver to hunt with though.  I'm afraid that an auto loader just ain't gonna keep 'em in the zone like a wheelgun, certainly not at distances outside 100 yards.

Yikes, 100 yards with a handgun.  That sounds like a challenge.

I only see the 225gr LeveRevolution ammo.  Looking at the trajectory charts, if it's 2.4" high at 50 yards, then it should be dead on at 100 yards. Am I looking at that right?  That's nice, if it holds it's trajectory that well.

Not a lot of folks down here hunting with 44 mags, nor pistols to boot. For deer, a lot of 7mm mags, 30-30, 30-06, etc.

I would definitely use a rest.  ;)

When I had 20-something eyes and steadier hands (and I could afford more practice ammo) I could keep all my shots in a fair group at 100 yds freehand with 200gr bullets at around 1200 fps using a Ruger SBH with a 4 5/8" barrel.

Those days are loooooong gone. Not that I don't still have the potential, I just don't shoot the big bores at those distances enough any more to reliably take game free-handed. I have padded rests mounted in the windows of my deer blind.

With the LeverEvolution and a 7 1/2" barreled SBH....from a steady rest, I can still keep 'em in the kill zone.

Most of the shots I could possibly take on game is in wooded areas where <75 yds would be the norm.

Here in Indiana the legislators in charge of making the laws for deer hunting also have a minimum case length rule which takes 10mm out of the legal handgun rounds for deer. These morons do not look at the energy of the round or how successful it is.  :(
