Was A ‘Church-Going Daddy‘s Girl’ Arrested Because She Likes To Blow Up Toilets On Her Property?

Posted on June 2, 2012 at 12:23pm by Mike Opelka Mike Opelka

A college student in Georgia is sitting in jail following a raid on her family home by the FBI, ATF and officers from several local law enforcement agencies.

23-year-old Celia Savage has been charged with illegally possessing a destructive device, as well as possession of a firearm while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance. Her father says she is not guilty.

The multi-agency raid was conducted at the family’s home in Cornelia, Ga. on May 30. Ms. Savage was arrested and charged, due to arraigned Friday in federal court. The hearing was postponed to next week. Until then, she remains in jail, held without bond.

The FBI alleges that Ms. Savage admitted to making as many as seven pipe bombs and exploding them as a “hobby.” Until late Friday, there was a YouTube video purporting to show Savage lighting a fuse on a bomb that would explode a commode in the woods.

The video of the exploding toilet has since been “removed by user.”

Reviewing Celia Savage’s Facebook postings (below), one can see why authorities might have cause to speak with her. In her personal information, she posted the following:

Savage also describes herself as a Christian and an anarchist and then adds some quotes that reflect her philosophy.

Many are wondering why a multi-agency raid with a “small army” was needed. Perhaps it was the quotes Ms. Savage posted that raised the feds’ eyebrows. Or was this something else? One online supporter alleged the raid was triggered by a personal dispute. He wrote that a call to the ATF was made by someone holding a grudge against the young lady:

This is not a girl that “they” have been watching for years and following her because she is “shady” (yeah right)…this is a girl that last week someone decided to make a call to authorities and destroy her life because of a personal vendetta…This is so sad…I wish you the best

According to several news reports, both father and daughter share a general dislike of intrusive government agencies. Tommy Savage has been quoted as saying:

“I think everybody ought to be able to stay on their property, do whatever the heck they want to… I wish the government would stay out of her business or my business or whoever’s.”

The Blaze did speak with Tommy Savage about the situation with his daughter. He said he was not able to release any public statements, but did maintain his belief that his child is innocent.

Here's hint for today's day and age,....Don't videotape blowing commodes up on your property, and post on youtube....Don't make stupid remarks that trigger the "100 words" that bring you attention on Facebook...

My kinda girl though.... ::)

Being a "gun loving, Christian, Daddy's girl does not make her a good person.
Timothy McViegh was a gun loving Christian too.
Being a bomb maker does make her a felon, and posting videos of it on YouTube makes her an idiot.

How can people be so stupid that they post video of themselves doing illegal things ?
Then they are surprised and indignant when the cops show up.
Even if the law they broke is foolish or wrong, these dumb azzes are better off in jail since they are to stupid to function in society.

7ish Rules for doing illegal/potentially illegal things.*

1.  Don't do them.

If you feel that you must do them, proceed to the following rules.
2.  Don't video tape or photograph the event in any way shape or form.
2.a.  If event is taped, do not allow it to be shared publicly; destroy it and all copies immediately.
3.  Don't let anyone see you do them.
3.a.  No matter how much you trust them, they aren't trustworthy.
4.  Don't tell anyone you did them.
     4.a.  See 3.a.
5.  Don't document them in writing.
5.a.  If event is documented in writing, do not allow it to be shared publicly; destroy it and all copies immediately.
6.  Don't include your name/personal identification in the act of the crime (e.g., grafitti with your real name, etc.).
6.a.  Don't be a complete dumbass you idiot.
7.  See Rule #1.
7.a.  Dodge, dip, dive, duck, and dodge.
7.b.  You especially deserve to get caught and punished if you break rules 2, 2.a., 5.a., 6, and 6.a.

*I reserve the right to modify the rules as necessary and without warning.  Despite any potential changes, videoing and sharing pubilcly a potentially criminal act will always qualify you as a dumbass.  Have a nice day.

O.K., O.K.  If you believe in freedom and private property then she had every "Natural Right" to do so.  Who did she hurt, only the feelings of the socialist that desire to take over the country and tell us what we can and cannot do, as well as the toilets.
The rule is, as long as you are on your property and no one, and I mean no one is going to get hurt from it then I believe she had the right to do so.  However, if you live in an urban setting some may take offense at such fun making, and nothing I would recommend.  A little common sense goes a long way here.
Making such impliments are not on any of my lists unless SHTF; then I will give it serious consideration.  I want my "Natural Right to have freedom from the government" which is nothing like the Constitution established.
I have no doubt that I will or may catch some flak over this, but for me this is just overboard.
This is not the end of the "freedom story but I do not wish to be a hog here.

See my above post.
Pay particular attention to the highlighted parts.

I'm not saying that someone shouldn't have the right to blow up some toilets on their own property as long as no one is getting hurt.  I think the stuff that is now an arrestable crime that I could get away with as a kid not that long ago is insane.  The nanny state is sadly prevailing.  What I am saying is that, under the current laws, blowing up toilets and similar actions are most likely illegal.  Therefore, it is best not to blow up toilets (insert other similar actions here).  However, if you maintain that it is your right to be able to do it anyway, minimize the number of people who know about it and don't video and post it online.  If I weren't so jaded by the stupidity of the "average" person, I would be in constant amazement what people admit to online, especially in video.

Given the rules that we have, you have to either play by them or give at least give a legitimate appearance that you are.  Posting videos and comments showing that you are doing them is not the best way to maintain that appearance.

I'm not even that adamant about the "nobody getting hurt" part.
My approval depends entirely on WHO is sitting on it at the time.  ;D

Blowing up toilets isn't against the law but making pipe bombs is. That's where she screwed up.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
