The Mat 49 doesn't look so much "ugly" as it does "Cheap". But with the Boberg, the Austen,and the Dardick it looks like a three way tie.

I still think that there will be uglier DuraCoat entries out there that we still have yet to see that will win the day.

I find it very interesting how quickly this thread digressed into an exhibition of those out there who have more DuraCoat then they do brains......or maybe they just have too many guns on their hands....... hard to tell, but its still fun to see all of these monstrosities.

By the way, not many people know that the Brno factory was set up by French who helped the Czech establish their own weapons manufacturing facility right after WW1, the ZB 26 and ZB 30 are kinda cousins of the LMG 1924 and the Hotchkiss 1922, both derived from the CSRG 1915 Chauchat concept that did not deserve the bad reputation it got in most writings.
