Joe Biden -Obama VP
« on: August 23, 2008, 07:48:49 AM »
WASHINGTON - Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware is Barack Obama's pick as vice presidential running mate, The Associated Press has learned.

Biden, 65, is a veteran of more than three decades in the Senate, and one of his party's leading experts on foreign policy, an area in which polls indicate Obama needs help in his race against Republican rival John McCain.

The official who spoke did so on condition of anonymity, saying they did not want to pre-empt a text-message announcement the Obama campaign promised for Saturday morning.

I saw this coming a few days ago, and its unfortunate for us because strategically this was one of Obama's better moves, Biden has foreign policy experience as well as everything else the p**** lacks. I'd go so far as to say that Biden will be the true top half of the ticket come November with Obama being nothing more than the "pretty face".

I just hope mrs Clinton doesn't go quietly into the dark night during the convention and turns it into a complete circus.

So much for "change" we can believe in . . .

Besides, Rush is ecstatic about Biden as the nominee, he is a power in the Senate but apparently is not the brightest bulb in the pack. Biden is a multi-time failed presidential candidate, and is on videotape as saying McCain is the best candidate from the GOP and other comments that will come back to haunt him. He is also clearly being positioned as the anchor on the ticket. Should be quite a show.

Update: OK, I went back and watched the video, there you go, right on the money - the White House is not place for on the job training. How perfect, with b-ho right there too.

+10 Pathfinder!

For all the speeches BHO mentioned "Washington is broken", why not make your VP "A veteran of more than three decades in the very institution you were talking to us common folk about"

Once again, it shows his lack of exp. I would have been more worried if he would have picked that Rep. from Texas, or that young guy from Ind.

That would have shown true "change" against the machine. But the BHO lemmings will cheer, and face defeat (hopefully) in Nov.

And lest we forget how contemptuous Biden is of us gun owners:

At about the 30 second mark is where Biden questions the questioner's intelligence and sanity.

Frankly, I couldn't be happier that the Anointed One chose Biden. I figure the Obama campaign will need duct tape to put across his mouth so he doesn't screw it up.

It had better be good duct tape too....... ;)

Tom Bogan,
Your yahoo link above comes up not found.  I'm curious as to what it was.  Is yahoo turning to politics and censorship and won't let us view something that might be harmful to the annointed one?

It was SUPPOSED to be a link to a news story about how the choice of Biden showed a lack of confidence within the Obama campaign. I got it last week so it has probably been sent to an archive somewhere.
Sorry for the inconvenience.  ???
