I still have a bunch of filters from all of my Cannon F Series lenses. I don't know if the threads will fit. If not it's something else I've got to spend money on.

Get good protective filters.  Cheap ones will noticibly degrade image quality.

Get new ones.  You'll be happier in the long run.

Bill, that is very similar to the Nikon bundled package I bought several years ago (looks to be the next newer model camera body, ours is a D3200).
I love ours, the bundle had everything from the lenses and filters to a hot shoe flash unit, extra cards, tri-pod, and remote. I may add additional lenses, but for the pictures we take, I don't see going beyond this camera unless it is damaged or destroyed or lost.
Great deal, IMHO, FWIW

C'mon Bill.  Jump in there and spend that money.

The Nikon "3" series is a good Starter-to advanced beginner" package. The "5" series is a little more of an intermediate package. The "7" series is "Prosumer" last year my wife And I felt she needed a new body since her D-90 was from 2008. Walked into Costco dreading getting online on the computer and spending another 3500-5K (Thankfully she has all but one of the lenses she wants) and there is one of the new bodies (Albeit the low end one) she wanted-the Nikon D7200 with two kit lenses she did not need( we sold the 18-55 and kept the 55-300). Now at least she has two Bodies and both fit all her lenses

A very nice low light picture especially for the dark colors that are prominent.
