I had 1 bockwurst, 1 knackwurst, and 1 German hot dog, with Willi's brat sauce. And a side of Willi's homemade sauerkraut with  pork, apples, onions and spices. Followed by a half dozen saltine crackers with horseradish cheese. And a 4 1/2" Almond Joy cookie for dessert, washed down with a mocha cafe frappe. All I had to eat all day before this was... nothing, as far as I can remember, and now I'm stuffed like a tick.

The German hot dog tastes like a REALLY good pork hot dog, but is coarse ground with extra garlic. The brat sauce is different from the picture online that says it's made with ketchup, mustard, and horseradish, but it has the ingredients that go into ketchup and mustard, plus jalapeno puree, and red bell pepper. Knockwurst is made of pork and beef with paprika and onion in it, and bockwurst is pork with white pepper and parsley.

I bought 7 cookies that were half off, 4 almond joy and 3 Butterfinger. I'm eating one now to figure it out, and when I got to the crunchy bit I remembered.. It's like peanut butter, chocolate chunk, and caramel, I guess. And I bought 2 pounds of sauerkraut with pork, and 3 kinds of cheese, plus ~$200 worth of sausage. I have over a dozen different kinds. I didn't know what i was going to eat for Thanksgiving, now I know I'll be eating sausage, and maybe baking a food service size tray of mac & cheese.

When I bought the beef and bean tostada dinner yesterday, I bought a dozen medium tacos with cheese. So I had 3 meals from my favorite place to get gas in Flint. ;)  La Azteca Taco House STILL has the remnants of a Marathon gas station sign in front of the restaurant, but I don't recall there ever being a gas station there in the 34 years I've lived just down the road. Maybe there was when I was growing up and still lived on the east side of city.

With mom convalescing and holiday bus service being nonexistent here, we observed Thanksgiving yesterday with Turkey Cranberry Croissants, Cranberry-Orange Chutney and molasses-sugar cookies from Honeybaked.

I loved Honeybaked sandwiches and things. I'll probably get a 7 or 8 pound half ham and take it to my friend's house for the Christmas party.

I just a 1 cherry whiskey sausage, 1 Reuben sausage, and 1 Swiss and mushroom sausage, with a side of sauerkraut and pork. Next I'll take half a lemon meringue pie out and grab a clean fork. No need to slice it.

Red bell pepper with ranch dressing.  Time to lose weight.

I ate a whole bag of Chester's Cheddar Jalapeno Popcorn. Mmm, yummy and spicy.

An onion and cheddar cheese omelet fried in butter this morning.  Salt and pepper, of course, along with some Tiger Sauce which I sometimes substitute for my usual Tabasco covering when I want to add some sweetness to the mix.

I haven't had Tiger Sauce in so long I don't remember what it tastes like. Green Tabasco is also good with eggs and cheese. At least if you like jalapeno.

I'm eating taco-flavor beef taquitos. I had to take a break from sausage. Yesterday I had 2 each of Festival (Extra garlic), Octoberfest (With parsley and paprkia), and Winterfest (Red Pepper Flake) Bratwurst, and a 28 ounce can of bourbon jalapeno baked beans with bacon jerky chopped up in it.

Buddy's Pizza. The original Detroit style pizza from 79 years ago, but from the grocery store instead of one of their pizzerias. It had pepperoni covered by 1/4" of solid cheese and 3 rows of sauce ladled over the top. It sounds like it's built upside down, but having the cheese on the crust helps you get the caramelized edges. And if you've ever had a pizza with raw, soggy dough, I bet the sauce was on the bottom, not the top like this. Some of their pizzas use Wisconsin Brick Cheese, and some use a Motor City Cheese Blend. I don't know what was on this but I ate 3/4 of it.

I just finished some leftover Detroit style pizza. It was sausage with Wisconsin Brick Cheese. Wikipedia says, "Brick cheese is the traditional cheese for Detroit-style pizza."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brick_cheese

Some places that make Detroit style pizzas will use 2 smaller pans instead of one large pizza pan. Then they cut each one in quarters. This gives you what Jet's calls an 8 corner pizza. Every piece is a corner piece, so no one has to fight over them. Everybody gets 2 sides of caramelized cheese on golden brown dough that's made fresh daily.
