Burger King.  Because my wife made me go...

Shoot, I 'bout can't afford BK any more. About six months ago I got a hankerin' for a Whopper meal (the junior just ain't the same flavor for some reason....jackass meat vs horse, I reckon)....anyway, the wife and I were in town so I whipped into the closest BK and ordered two Whopper combos with medium drinks..... $25!!!! Jeez-Louise, man. We could've added $5 to it and ate a table-meal at our favorite Mexican joint....sheesh.
Needles to say, we haven't graced BK with our presence again.

We picked the middle granddaughter up from dance class yesterday evening and she wanted chicken from Zaxby's. She got the 4-piece and the wife and I each got a 3-piece and for all three meals was $30. Better quality food and more than BK any day.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I didn't know Burger King was getting that expensive. About a week ago I had a Smokehouse Bacon Jam Burger, with 2 Angus beef patties, pepper bacon jam, bacon, Gouda, and onion straws on a brioche bun. I ordered a pumpkin shake to go with it, then decided to get some Freakin' Fries too, and comboed my meal. Normally you can Add Fries and a 22 oz. Soft Drink for $4.89, but the shake was $2.00 more than a fountain drink. I got Alabama White Sauce and Boom Boom Sauce for my fries, but only used the Alabama White Sauce, and saved the Boom Boom Sauce to dip chicken in the next day. I think I paid 65 cents for an extra cup of sauce.

If I'm not mistaken, that should be over $20 including both sauces and the 6% state tax, but I used a $5 reward and got a $6.99(?) credit for my birthday burger, my birthday being last month. So I think it should have been around $10, but I just checked my credit card and I only paid $5.50 for all of it. I think they gave me the burger for free and didn't charge the right amount for something else. It was really good anyway. A lot better than Burger King, which is more like dog food, and always makes me burp. I think you get 1 point for each dollar you spend, then get $5 off when you have $75 points.

Shit, if I'm dropping nine bucks or more for a burger I'm going to at least Five Guys (buy one burger get one free if you order through their app, Nov 7 only!) or to Red Robin for a Banzai. (Teriyaki sauce and pineapple.)
