Yep.  I've seen that.

By the way, any of your guys who play with stock might give Wendy's ( WEN ) a look.  They are at a 2 year low down from say $21 to $8.50.  This is not stock recommendation or advice.

Wendy's has just started selling chicken strips.  I swung by and picked up a single burger (too much bread....where's the beef?) which is not at all what it used to be.  They thickened the bread and lessened what used to be there when the burgers were good.  However...I stopped by to find out how the chicken is selling.  At this one Wendy's store I was told the sales of the chicken was very good and that the burger sales was also up.  My thought was that chicken would bring in clientele that normally goes to say Burger King and McDonalds because they have chicken which would satisfy a family member who does not prefer burgers....with the advent of Wendy's chicken that family can now swing by Wendy's to satisfy the yard bird eater whilst the burger eaters can also get what they want.

I would be interested what in hearing what your observations are for Wendy's in your area.  Yeah...I bought some of their stock.

Chili and taco soup for Christmas Day.

I didn't have any other kind of bread, so I made sandwiches of Honeybaked ham on panettone, a light, airy, sweet, buttery fruitcake, of a sourdough bread. I figured, if you can make ham sandwiches with King's Hawaiian rolls, why not? A little hot and spicy mustard tanginess to offset the sweetness and it was actually better than I expected. I put a few spicy garlic pickle chip on the last little one and it was good too.

I had a bunch of Honeybaked ham for lunch. No sides or bread, just mustard. Then mini cupcakes and Christmas cookies for dessert. I need to see if I have any Horsey Sauce packets in the fridge for my dinner ham. I don't think I have anything like that.

I had some Mucky Duck mustard years and years ago and really liked it, but haven't had it again until yesterday. I bought a jar of it earlier this year and took it to the Christmas party. This is the OG PUB-STYLE MUSTARD, made in Michigan since 1983, and I was disappointed when I tried it again. The only ingredients are Apple Cider Vinegar, Cane Sugar, Eggs, Mustard Flour, and Modified Corn Starch. Don't ask me why mustard has eggs in it, I couldn't tell you. But it's way too sweet and doesn't have nearly enough mustard flour in it. After I came home I mixed the rest of the jar with the rest of a bottle of hot & spicy mustard that's a lot tangier. Now it tastes better, but I still like mustard that tastes like mustard, not sugar or vinegar. That's why I never buy yellow mustard. It doesn't have any mustard flavor, just vinegar, and I don't see what the point is. I may try some other Mucky Duck mustard or their other products, but I'm done with this. They say it's really good on pretzels, but I don't have any to try it with.

Breakfast was a mini loaf of banana bread or zucchini bread, I'm not sure which it was, but it was good. Instead of cutting small slices off side to side, I made 4 slices lengthwise. I put lots of real butter on 2 slices, microwaved and ate them, then repeated. Mmm.

I'm eating Christmas cookies and don't expect them to last through the night. Before this I had cheese ravioli. I started eating that yesterday because all 8.665 pounds of Honeybaked ham is gone already. I gave my friend's wife the soup bone on Christmas, and whatever was left after 7 of us had one meal only lasted me a few days. I had a coupon for $7 off the ham or it would have cost me $93.50. I'm not sure my friends are worth it, but I am. ;) I need another ham so I'll have some for sandwiches. I ate it all before I got to the store for bread.
