My favorite Mexican restaurant, La Azteca, had a deal this weekend to save 15% off an order of $40 or more, so I got my food for the whole day. I think it's funny that my tip had to be exactly 5.56 to make the total an even $50.

Subtotal - $47.10, Discount - biggame26 -$7.06, Tax - $2.40, Tip - $5.56, Online Platform Fee - $2.00, Total - $50.00. I saved $4.40 by ordering directly from them instead of a delivery service. It's <2 1/2 miles round trip and takes 5 minutes. I'm lazy but not too lazy to get dressed and drive that far. This is the oldest Mexican restaurant in Flint. It was the first Mexican restaurant to open here 60 years ago, and still run by the same family. Being the first of anything in an area settled 207 years ago is special, but staying in business 60 years is a sign of greatness. The ingredients are chopped by hand and everything is made to order.
The Tamale dinner had the option to add Cheese or (Wet) Cheese. Wet cheese? Huh? I guessed it was queso sauce which sounded good to me. I like cheese on almost everything, including tamales. Traditional or not, it's good. So, I had a Tamale Dinner (Wet) Cheese with an extra Tamale (Pulled Pork) for brunch. The dinner came with Beans and Rice and a small Salad. I think it's French dressing or Catalina that they always use but I'm not sure. It's red and really sweet whatever it is. The extra tamale was the real deal wrapped in a corn husk, wrapped in 2 pieces of aluminum foil. Condensed water from the steamer was dripping off the foil when I unwrapped it. They gave me 9 little cups of their home made hot sauce which they once told me was tomatoes and peppers ground together. It's really good, especially on the tacos that made them famous. My friend's wife told me that if you add extra cumin to a packet of taco seasoning, you can make tacos that taste like theirs.
I ate the salad first, then lifted up one of the 2 tamales covered with cheese sauce. I stuck the plain tamale under it and scooped cheese over it and put the other tamale back, then microwaved the whole thing to warm it back up. I have a Chicken Chimichanga Dinner with Queso Blanco for later, and a Burrito Supremo made of Stew Meat. Their stew is beef and potatoes, and I don't know what else, but it's amazing. I don't know if I ever had a burrito with stew meat before, but it sounded good. The other options for this burrito are Ground Beef, Chicken, and Turkey. Gravy is optional, along with extra meat and a dozen different toppings. I went plain with it, and just the burrito, not a dinner. The Chimichanga was available in Chicken or Turkey, with Queso Blanco, extra meat and a dozen other toppings. I put one cup of sauce on the tamales and one on the beans and rice. Look at the size of that burrito. I can hardly wait to eat it.
