Safe travels.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Good morning from chiba prefecture all. It’s a beautiful morning. Just got back from a quick 5 mile run and hungry as heck. Everyone here has been very welcoming. Kimis whole demeanor has changed. I can tell she was not only more relaxed but homesick. Time for some tea

Still over yonder or are you back.  I've been away since around the 9th of September...back now though.

I used to go to Japan frequently for business.  Magnavox Marine Electronics had an arrangement with a Japanese company to manufacture for the local market, and I was the marketing manager for that part of the world.  I always enjoyed those trips--mainly because I didn't have to personally pay for meals or hotel accommodations.  I would be very happy to visit again if I could afford it.  Absolutely love the food.

I left California for a better job, and have never looked back.

Bunny and I just did a road trip on Route 66.  For those who don't know, Route 66 starts in Chicago and ends in Santa Monica, California.  I refuse to go into Chicago, so our trip started at the Illinois border.  And I won't patronize anything in California, so our trip ended at the California border.

For those who travel, you might consider a similar rule.  Don't go to places or spend your money where your rights are not respected and where the government flat out hates you.

Had you come to the starting point, and I had known, I would have loved to meet you in person.  Sadly, I am here for work for a while but making the best of it.

You had a bit of a spelling issue.  I hope you don't mind that I fixed it for you....

throw out the entire west coast then.  or and wa you cant carry with out of state permits.   no normal mags or ars in wa as well.   it is really sad.  some very pretty places.

I have only 2 more trips left to ca in me.   1 to sell a dead relatives home which is coming up soon and the last one will be to move my mother to UT in April.   after that I am done.  my last structural  warranty  is up 10/23.   on the 24th my ca corporation  will close,  I can then send all my tax crap to Ftb and be done with it
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

I use to go to Japan on business frequently, also.   Of course my "company's" overarching business plan was to kill people and destroy things.

I use to go to California on business as well.  Initially for the USAF, then for various commercial concerns.  My only really good memories was of going to The Oar House in Santa Monica in the late '60s.  Despite the war protests going on in CA, I was treated kindly by the patron's there.  Went back several times post service and was very sad to learn the bar recently closed.

On the flip side my mate and I were run out, literally, of a bar in Borax, CA.  You'd think in a conservative, mining community they'd have been more supportive of servicemen.  I remember the manager coming over, comping our meals and directing us to the back door.  It opened outward and I slammed it has hard as I could into the face of the miner chasing us.

Those were the days.

Because we were in the military.  Baby Killers was one of more polite terms he used.  The other miners weren't as aggressive not as drunk I suppose.
