I buy my coffee unroasted (green) and roast it.  I use a Technivorn coffee maker, an Aeropress maker, similiar to French Press and a cheapo espresso maker, not much for espresso, make latte and Americano.  I like the coffees from Central and South America, Ethiopia, Java.  I have a home roaster and roast three or four different kinds of coffee at a roasting session and try different blends.  Only go to Charbucks when on the road.  There are a lot of good roasters out there that will send fresh roasted coffee, search on coffee roasters and try them.  You'll stop using canned coffee.  Not cheap.

Try to keep my coffee consumption to 3-4 cups a day. Like to get the fresh beans and do it myself, but usually can't justify the expense. (special treat, ammo is higher on the priority list) Little cream, no sugar, and pour it in my 32oz sippy cup, and out the door, hopefully headed to the range. ;D

You must be kin to my late father-in-law (see the .44 special thread section about his inclination for possum, and this might make sense).
He had my mother-in-law percolate his coffee the night before so it could "set-up" a little before he drank it the next morning.
It resembled burnt motor oil....about 40 weight.

I think I'd just rather drink Sterno.

My Dad worked out of the house, free-lance industrial designer. He had this big aluminum coffee percolator, 10-12 cups maybe? Here was his routine every morning:
1. Get up
2. Get dressed
3. Plug coffee pot in with left-over coffee from day before
4. Make toast
5. Tap off last cup, clean pot, set up and start brewing new batch
6. Take toast, day-old warmed up coffee to the dining room, have breakfast (coffee and toast), then a cigarette while new pot percolated
7. Drink all but 1 cup during the rest of the day
8. Next day, start over at #1

Marshal is a coffee freak!
I admit.. I buy flavored beans for him.
http://www.coffeeandteawarehouse.com/index.cfm?method=products.showList&productcategoryid=31
This brand is awesome... I usually buy 10  bags of different kinds each order..
They are dripping with oil when I grind them.. ( fresh every morning, of course)
Marshal's favorite is Hazelnut Creme and Butter Rum and  Amaretto..and ..and.. and....  ;D ;D
He says that this brand of coffee has the best flavors he has ever had..

He drinks LOTS of strong strong strong coffee every day. I make him his evening coffee and it consists of some cappuccino powder, real cream.. mix that up real good.. then add hot coffee and then some of the spray whipped cream on top..
 I know.. I spoil him...  :)
But he is sooo worth it.....
