+1 for the crossbreed.  Genious in its simplicity.

But whatever you choose, remember that a good belt is more important that the holster.

"No Maam.  If I was expecting trouble, I'd have a rifle."

+1 on the importance of a good belt!

Leather is generally more comfortable than Kydex...the best IWBs I have are from the master, the late Lou Alessi. You might check with John at 5 Shot Leather (http://www.5shotleather.com/), who is doing exceptional leather work these days. I also have several current holsters from Ted Blocker (http://www.tedblockerholsters.com/index.php) and I've been very happy with them as well.

I've probably worn Blade-Tech IWBs more than any other holsters. On short slide/barrel guns, they're very comfortable. I also have IWBs from Brian Hoffner (http://www.hoffners.com/products.htm) and they work extremely well (especially his super-slick revolver IWBS).

Thanks Mr. Baine for the links. I'll be sure to check them out. I most definately want something that is comfortable.

I am a huge fan of the Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe. Wear the thing anywhere between 8 and 12 hours a day. It's extremely comfortable. Has a large leather section and a molded kydex holster. The leather back keeps the gun from digging into you and if you have to remove it, the kydex makes it very easy to re-holster. It's also a tuckable holster and has the ability to change the height and cant of the firearm.

True_Texan, How durable and sturdy are the belt clips on the Super Tuck Deluxe?

Guess I will put my $.02 out there.  I love Milt Sparks..but teh wait is way to long to keep me happy.  I carry my M&P .40c in a Comp-Tac MTAC IWB holster and love it.  From day one it felt great, and after a week of wearing it, it wore the leather in good and holy crap is this awesome.. I cant even tell i am wearing it sometimes... at the 4 oclock position, i can even drive around town without any discomfort... most IWBs sucks once you sit down and buckle in.

And Walkeraviator, How's the quality on the MTAC? Does it seem to stay in place well?

I have been using mine for at least 6 months now and haven't had a problem. They have retained their shape and hold fast all day long. It can sometimes be a pain to get them to let loose. A friend of mine has the holster for a M&P .45 which he rarely wears do to workplace policy and he recently broke one. He had snagged it on something and bent it. After straightening it out, it lasted for several more months and then snapped off when he snagged it again. He is rather clumsy sometimes. But with a short email to the company, they sent out replacements free of charge. Lifetime warranty on their stuff. Even broken, the holster was still completely usable.

To start off my personal opinion for me I do not care for kydex.

This is what I would buy:
Order an IWB fromT&T Gunleather for $80. This a Milt Sparks VMII clone but with a better feel. The cant is more comfortable and the gun sits lower which I like. Excellent quality. Contact Tim before the wait gets any longer. Less than a year ago it was 6 weeks. Now 16 weeks.

Okay what to do in the meantime. Gunners Alley has Don Hume IWB leather holster with re-inforced opening and a very solid C clamp for $26 which sholud hold you over.

If you want a VMII, I have one for my Sig P226, try Lighting Arms or Top Gun Supply they stock some for the more popular handguns.

Thanks for the info on the belt clips, True_Texan.
And on the belt suggestion...Can anyone reccommend a non-leather belt?

These are great belts and a fine alternative to leather.... http://store.thewilderness.com/index.php?cPath=43

Go for the 5 stitch belt and it will handle any gun you wish to carry including a full size 1911.

Another vote for the Crossbreed Supertuck. I carry a full size gubmint model in one. It's quite comfortable while driving, working around the yard and at work. And that would be for hours at a time. I'm not a big fan of tuckable, but that too is an option if you can't utilize a cover garment. Best holster I've used for a full size gun, hands down. And, just like everyone else who's carried for any length of time, I've got a big box of those that didn't quite work out.

+1 on the wilderness belt.  The frequent flyer is more comfortable if your belly, um, rests over your belt.  But it will slip a little if you really try to cinch it down.  I have both and prefer the FF with a Glock but would probably use the original with a heavier gun.

DEFINITELY get the 5 stitch and whichever size best fits your beltloops.
