Lets see you ford a river or travel off road or plow snow in that van..........bridges out, roads unsafe for travel.

Add a trailer to the sidecar rig and it solves the where to put supplies issue.

That's pretty sweet!  I had a GSX R 1000, and even IT got 40mpg, so these things should stay over 30.

Thing is even newer (last 10 years or so) have electronic ignition, fuel injectors etc.  Hell, most don't come with a kick start unless you get a dirt bike.

I have a 94 Yamaha Virago 1100 (haven't started it in 5 years!).  Always wanted a kick start and one more gear (higher) for it.

I think it's a clear winner!  Simple, functional, practicle, figures it's origins are the same as an AK's.
