I still need to get used to the trigger pull. It is a different beast. This is my first revolver, and in DA so my first 50 at the range were scattered a bit. I'm gonna go tomorrow to Wally World to pick up a 100 count and get it worked out. The laser is also a first. It is ranged for 50 ft. outta the box. I started at 7 yards so if I put the laser at point of aim, I hit the clip on the target holder (Before everyone gets all crazy, "clip" was used properly in this instance.) So that also got some getting used to. After tomorrow's trip, I will get the before and after targets up for folks to see along with some gun porn.
A couple of things I like about the LCR is the compact package. It rides comfortably in a front pocket with little effort. I also picked up some Bianchi speed strips in lieu of a speed loader. This defiantly gives a lower profile than a speed loader would. This, I like. The stripping from the speed strips will take a bit of work. The first try looked like a primate copulating with a pigskin. I also like the 1270 fps 38 special (+P). Up close and personal something like that could put a hitch in your get-a-long.
All in all, I am happy with the purchase. As stated previously, I will add a FNH 9 at some point, but this will be a nice carry piece for those Florida days when I'm sporting shorts and a T-shirt (8 months or so a year). I think my XD-40 SC has a girlfriend.
