I went to the gun store fully intending to purchase the FNH-9.  I checked both of the guns out and ended up getting the LCR with the whole Crimson Trace setup.  So I now have my first wheel gun.  Weird huh?  Wanna see something else that is weird?  Check the photo from the insert included in the box with the LCR.  When I got to the range to shoot a few through the new addition I noticed not one, but two shiny silver stickers with warnings for the laser.  I thought is was a bit weird but I was more interested in shooting a few rounds to get the feel of the revolver.  When I got home I read what you now see in the photo.  I'm at a loss for words to understand.  Let me get this straight, a lawyer somewhere feels its important to warn someone at the point of a gun that the laser may be dangerous.  Not only that, but does the person being held at gun point get to call a "time-out" to pull out some reading glasses or possibly a magnifying glass to read the shiny warning sticker before returning to gun point to be shot?  Well, needless to say, my shiny stickers are now on the inside of my LCR box.  Please keep in mind that lasers on weapons can be dangerous.  Thank you Crimson Trace lawyers.

These are for the "hold my beer and watch this" crowd. Now, when they start putting warnings on boxes of JHPs, I'll be worried. ;D

OSHA will soon require the muzzle to have a safety warning about the bright flash.

Good one Tom.  ::)

As for the others who went away from the Ruger LCR and the FNH-9 and spoke about Glocks, thanks. I know everyone gets sick of my preaching of Glocks but I assure you that I would have suggested the Glock 26, 30 over most others for caliber size and accuracy for something worth concealed carry or home defense.  ;)

Hope the LCR works out, it's still kinda ugly.  ::)

I have an FN9 and it is a "no problemo" pistol.  (and is not as ugly) ;)

Let us know how it runs, Congrats!.

I still need to get used to the trigger pull.  It is a different beast.  This is my first revolver, and in DA so my first 50 at the range were scattered a bit.  I'm gonna go tomorrow to Wally World to pick up a 100 count and get it worked out.  The laser is also a first.  It is ranged for 50 ft. outta the box.  I started at 7 yards so if I put the laser at point of aim, I hit the clip on the target holder (Before everyone gets all crazy, "clip" was used properly in this instance.)  So that also got some getting used to.  After tomorrow's trip, I will get the before and after targets up for folks to see along with some gun porn.

A couple of things I like about the LCR is the compact package.  It rides comfortably in a front pocket with little effort.  I also picked up some Bianchi speed strips in lieu of a speed loader.  This defiantly gives a lower profile than a speed loader would.  This, I like.  The stripping from the speed strips will take a bit of work.  The first try looked like a primate copulating with a pigskin.  I also like the 1270 fps 38 special (+P).  Up close and personal something like that could put a hitch in your get-a-long.

All in all, I am happy with the purchase.  As stated previously, I will add a FNH 9 at some point, but this will be a nice carry piece for those Florida days when I'm sporting shorts and a T-shirt (8 months or so a year).  I think my XD-40 SC has a girlfriend.

Broso, is it DA only ?  if you can cock it it is similar to the set trigger on a rifle. Perfect for targets. NOT RECOMMENDED For SD or HD, accidents are FAR to likely.
