That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Tex,

I am a believer in supportin' our own.  On the other hand you already have one and not having them spend extra man hours and supplies to fix it would be a kindness to them, so......make 'em spend the extra!

Leatherman also made a run of "presentation" tools for ATF agents recipients were told that the "A T F " on the handle stood for "Always Think Forfeiture".

+1 on that...

Gerber is my favorite blade....I have a dozen or so, but still carry the same old E-Z Out with the half serrated blade. Part of the handle is cracked from my bike wreck, but it still works. I even have one of the old original Frisco Shivs.

Yeah, they are kinda pro gun.  ;)

For the Lead Free Championship Match they donated over $2000 worth of knives for prizes.

Also had huge discounts for attendees.  ;D

Knife and tomahawk throwing was also provided.

Have you had any experience with cutting harden wire. Also any hard use stories/experience would be good.

No experience with Gerber multi-tools.....but their knives are tough. I've cut copper electrical wire with the serrated edge of my E-Z Out knife. It dulled the hell out of it, but it sharpened right back with a few strokes on a diamond hone sharpener. They hold a good edge through rough cutting. And when they do get dull, they are easy to sharpen, IMHO. I know there are probably better knives out there (there always are) but for the money Gerbers are hard to beat.
