My son bought me an Old Timer (4" closed) for Christmas, holster and all. Big knife, tried wearing it around the house for a day or two and couldn't find a good spot for it when I sat in my chair but a good out in the woods knife for sure.

My everyday work knife is a SOG Flash 2. It's quick and easy to use one handed and big enough that if I had to defend myself with it I would try. Also it's cheap enough that if I lose it I won't cry too bad.

KA-Bar TDI & Leatherman Squirt S4....I prefer a fixed blade for serious work, & the TDI is stout yet pocketable....

Emerson CQC-7V Best Birthday present Ever!!! Finally my obscene coveting paid off. The Japanese talk of blades having souls I never really grasped that till I held this knife. It doesn't so much cut instead that which stands before it parts in its way.
