Well I got a box today but it wasn't from Ruger, it was black and has a big G on it.

I gave up on Rugers waiting game and my local shop let me trade my non-recall fixed SR9 in on a brand new Glock 21C for a small price of $130. Which in my opinion was a pretty good deal since I got plenty of use out of the SR9 and will not have to wait to get it fixed.

I hate to say this but I like the 21C much better too.

So while he hasn't range tested it yet, MB says the new "Glocky" trigger (in dry firing) has improved the pull and the over travel. Maybe I'll hang on and wait 'till they've upgraded mine and try it out before just getting rid of it.
Also, I did go online and re-register for the recall, explained in a note at the bottom how long I've been waiting, that I had registered back in very early April, etc., .  I actually got an email response asking me to be patient and that I should recieve a box within a month.

Ok - I just sent my SR9 back for the retrofit.  Has anyone out there gotten theirs back yet?  Is the trigger feel any better, etc?  I'd love to hear your reviews...

If you want a good wheel gun you can't go wrong with a Ruger. Auto's on the other hand are best bought from another manufacturer! (Just my opinion!)

Yup - Wheel-guns built like the proverbial brick S house - But I have never handled a semi-auto from Ruger that I said mmmmm I gotta get me one of these.... NEVER.

So today I called the shop where I bought my SR9 back in March. They told me they can't take the gun in trade until it's fixed.
The good news is, they said that their boxes came today, so mine should be soon or on it's way.

Mmmm Gibsons... not my favorite flavor, but lots of fun anyway.
No one boos anymore except when I say, "No". Usually that answer is a response to, "Play Free Bird!"

You will all be relieved and overjoyed to hear that I got my recall box yesterday and will be shipping my SR9 off to Ruger.
So...no more whining for awhile guys....I can no longer complain about not getting the box, so hopefully they'll send it back in the two weeks they say.

Now that it's actually going to get retrofitted, I guess I'll give it a fair chance when it comes back before trading it in.

I got my box 7/28.  UPS picked it up 7/29.  UPS tracking shows it out for delivery Prescott Valley right now.
