I have not posted for a while because of a busy schedule and a general lack of enthusiasm for anything. A lot of that stemmed from the present political landscape. Earlier in the year there was a large thread with third party voting centered around Bob Barr and the libertarian party. The thought of Sen. McCain as the best possible viable choice was a rather larger downer. I have believed all along that Sen. McCain will beat the Leftist of the present four years: Sen. Obama. But I was not optimistic with the last few years of McCain action in the Senate.
The ship was taking on water and listing hard to port. Recently the ship has been tacking steadily starboard and then I hear the news today. Wow! and so soon after the whining of the Democrat Convention. It was a rather stark contrast, even from last night to this morning. (In the intrest of full disclosure, I did not watch the Obamassaiah's speech last night, but listened to the excerpts today, in various media outlets.) While Gov., soon to be VP, Palin's speech today the crowd was chanting USA! USA! not a canidate's name. She was positive and upbeat about our great nation. Obama's speech was I, I, I, I, I, ad nauseaum. (Rush Limbaugh's program had a nice edit of it today). While running a risk of sounding a bit light in the loafers, my heart is a lot lighter today. There is a light, and it might even be Sen. McCain holding it. He still needs to buy a chance on a tractor to rectify his rectal/cranial inversion on global warming, but there is a light.
P.S. I own a new .22LR tosser and there will be photos in the near future, so no need to ask. They will be forth coming.
