Cashews.  Strawberry Perrier.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

A plate full of cornbread/chicken dressing and a slice of 12-layer cake with the good cooked icing.

I had my knee shot-up this AM, so I'm allowed to splurge on the cake.  ;D ;D

I'm lucky to get a lollipop if I'm good when I get shots. I had some Turtle Chex Mix for my sweet tooth. I have to eat something else before I go to bed, probably cereal since I have boxes of it up the wazoo, and there's some milk in the fridge.

Just had some kind of "meal in a bag" with chicken, noodles, corn, carrots, celery, broccoli, and some type of cheese sauce. Just dump in a pot, heat it and eat it. It was actually pretty good with enough for the wife and I to have a bowl for lunch and enough left for supper tonight (might toss in a grilled cheese sammich on the side).

Gold kiwifruit. I got close to 4 days worth of vitamin C from them. But they don't have as much vitamin K as the green kiwifruit. That's one reason a daily multi-vitamin comes in handy.

How did you fix it?

First batch was barbacoa for tacos.  I put the entire deboned shank in the crock pot with onion, garlic, jalapenos and beef broth, cooked for six hours, and shredded it.

Today was vegetable moose stew.  Wife wanted soup, but by the time I finished it was a nice rich stew.

I fix it the same as beef, deer or bear.  It is very lean, so DO NOT OVER COOK.  Moose has a liver flavor to it.  Liver lover love it.  I am not overly fond of liver, but if I don't over cook it the flavor isn't too strong.  Also using it in soups, stews, or hot dishes gives a flavor that is different than beef or pork, but not overwhelming.

I have also made meatballs with it.  Due to the leanness, I mixed it 2/3 moose with 1/3 ground beef or pork.

I have several roasts in the freezer, and I am going to try some jerky out of some.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
