I don't think I ever cooked Vidalia onions. I just ate fat slices in sandwiches. But caramelized, the taste has to be amazing. I think I could eat a plateful for dessert.

Isn't bacon one of the major food groups?

I'm eating Salt & Pepper pistachios.

I live a little over an hour away from Vidalia, GA....and as we say down here, "Ain't no bad time for Vidalia onions."
Any way you can eat 'em we like 'em.  ;D

I love them pan fried with garlic, butter and bell peppers.....then take them out of the pan and fry the cubed steak....pull the steak and make gravy with the leavin's. When the gravy's done throw everything back in the skillet and let simmer on low for a while. It's good with biscuits.
Makin' myself hungry right now.  ;D

Shredded hash browns with onions, jalapeno's and American Cheese all fried up using a couple of pats of butter.  Add salt, black pepper and a bit of Tabasco.

I used to fry my hash browns with just a tickle of bacon grease and butter mixed....been a while since I did that, though.

28 ounces of macaroni and cheese, a family size bowl, with crispy fried jalapenos stirred in. I felt like I was starving. Now I don't.  ;D  It was good too.

I usually use either one or the other.  I actually prefer the butter for a bit cleaner taste.  With bacon on the side, of course....
