  1. I recently watched a video which highlighted the Ruger 57 trigger system as unsafe to carry with a round in the chamber. Ruger designed the trigger safety without a “hammer block” and the safety simply disengages the transfer or trigger bar from engaging the trigger release. So it will fire if the striker falls … As a side note Ruger recommends that the gun Not be carried with a round in the chamber.
